New Site: Emporical Images

Emporical Images (Emporium + Empirical)

It's a real hodgepodge. Comments welcome. The real heart of the site is the Italic Helmets section:
http://www.freewebtown.com/italica/ital ... lmets.html

It needs work -- but so does the whole site. Read the disclaimer.
Particularly let me know if the page loads are too slow even with the thumbnails... if a picture of yours is uncredited, please let me know and I'll correct it promptly -- or remove it if you prefer.

Dan,

this is a phantastic collection and a pleasing surprise - one can always find new things! For me the muscle cuirass of Marcellina was an absolute sensation: a cuirass that apes a man's naked chest and belly wearing a broad Samnite (?) belt, a single-disk cuirass and a neck-chain with some form of a medusa-like amulett or something similar.

If You want to increase Your collection about etruscan bigae - there are very beautiful pictures of the Monteleone chariot under:

For Your inquiry: I can't open the pictures of the Praetorian guardsman from the Arch of Traian from Poteoli.
