I am involved with a number of other periods of reenactment and was curious to know if any one Else was as dedicated/stupid/crazy enough to do like wise. so following this is me in the early18thC. as private sentinel Mckeand of lord Orkney's regiment (the 1st or Royal Scots) and as musketeer Bartlett of Daniel Axtell's regt. 1645-1650 [img]

Are you kidding?
Got my start in the Markland Medieval Militia doing Hastings-era Saxon and Norman, and a little Viking. Here I am at the Battle of Clotarf, 1984, just to the right of the red banner:

Also have full 13th century gear:

After college, got into Rev War with the First Virginia Regiment, and later co-founded the Lt. Company of the 46th:

I've done a little 15th century, 16th century highlander/Irish, 1607 with the James Fort militia, 1642 with Hampden's Regiment (pike and musket), and a brief stint with the Appin Stuarts (1745).
Greek hoplite 500 BC,

The latest craze is the Bronze Age,

And I'd like to do more work on my Iceman kit. My friend is trying to drag me into the Zulu War (NO! NO! NOOOOOO!!!) And I really like orcs, but that's another story.
Anyone else?

Hi Steve hows it going mate didn't know you were into the Roman thing as well.
Matt you seem to be verging on being a serial reenactor! I didn't mention above because I don't have any photos in digital format but I also follow the French imperial version of an eagle with the 45eme in the N.A. and am putting stuff together for a WW2 signals dispatch rider (though I need to finish restoring the Norton 16H first). My ECW regiment is normally Essex's but the New model thing is our "away coat" for times when it isn't appropriate to be spiffing in orange.
Steve/falco was in Hampdens in the ECWS so I guess that makes you two fellow Vets of a sort

This is all getting rather incestuous.....I'm also getting near finishing early Ranger kit..New Hampshire Provincial 1756....and refusing the temptation to get into Spanish Civil War,

I prefer the term "time slut"! And I should point out that I don't do "current events", which is anything after 1815, hee hee! (Though I gotta admit that the guns are darn tempting...)
Oh, and the Bronze Age stuff will ultimately include at least 3 different impressions, maybe 5 or 6. Lots of time and ground to cover.

Well, I started out with American Civil War, no image available unfortunatly.
I also do a World War I doughboy impression, here's one taken of me on Saturday when I was portraying a ChauChat gunner.
I also do the Soviet 193rd rifle division (I'm the guy who got John into it) this one was taken at the Reading airshow back in June, the guy in the black next to me is a Soviet Naval infantryman.

It fire live rounds okay, but it jams like crazy when firing blanks, and it always jams when the Huns are coming out too.

You're very handsome. I admit, I've a soft spot for long hair and a bit of scruff.
Pardon my bluntness. And don't worry, there's a woman hiding behind that alias.
