new material on webmuseum
#1
dear forum,

just back from a museum tour in NL and D, and added a couple of hundred new fotos to the military equipment pages. Highly recommend is the new Bonn Landesmuseum despite the unusual museum concept by topic but mixing periods. Key stuff including that stunning niedermörmter helmet and the "Varus" stone.

Please take a look at the military equipment pages of www.romancoins.info / www.romanlegions.info . I hope I got all descriptions right, but I was honestly overwhelmed by the amount of new fotos :-) ) If you pick up inconsistencies please let me know.

Also if you can donate any fotos of especially post buggenum helmets (not montefortinos who are in the hundreds) not yet covered, this would be most most welcome....

I visit that site every time that I use my comp.. There is a Replica Cavalry sport parade Helm with a wig or some kin of hair on, I'm very interested in that one, plus the other Face-mask helm's that some are almost complete & in neat condition.

and a pugio with blood groves! A few years ago Joe Pieda made a pugio for me. All this time I thought that the blood groves that he put in the blade were wrong, but now I know better.
