HADRIAN’S WALL has survived barbarian invaders, smugglers and the 2,000-year march of history. Now its very survival has come under threat â€â€Â

Oh dear. I'd hoped that problem had improved but apparently not. Of course, it doesn't help that every time the Wall appears on TV the presenter (assuming there is one) walks along it.

Maybe it needs a need garrison to keep people off it.

Charge a fee and employ some rangers to keep people on track.

And call it a Natural Reservation as well, funny enough, people have more respect for these. I live close to one and the amount of trespassers we have to deal with is not that large, considering the high tourism in the general area.
