Salve Lucius, my name is Joel. According to my father & my research I am of roman descent by my Galician grandfather posible with some Celtic blood too. My first lastname was "Nieves" accordingly from Lugo Arrow (ancient "Lvcvs Avgvsti") in Galicia, were Emperor "Theodosius" born. Nieves in Latin was: (Nive & Neve, & make alussion to the Roman Lady of Snow of Mt. Capitolino). I know too that my roman brothers live today in many places of Galicia along with the Celtic descendants. The Romans live today in Betanzos too, and are call "The Marinos" , and some service till the medieval "Visigoth King's as Nights or Caballeros... From my mom's blood I h've Corsican (wich the mountain people are of Ligurian & Etruscan origin) I might h've a litte of Greek Maniates of Gargese Corsica (Greeks of Laconian & Byzanthine origin) wich some are of noble origin or descendant of some byzanthine emperos, wich I do not intent to mention. But my Corsican Lastname was lost after my family emigrate to America, and of personal matter( not for "Vendettas"). But you are from Catalonia, and one of my greatgrandmom was a catalonian man, blond, blue eyes. My question is of whath back ground the Catalonians come from?... I know that the blonded Visigohts stop there till (Tierra De Campos)and their name was Gothalonia ( Catalunia today), Greeks in Apurdan, and aboriginal groups of Iberian stock? and others till medieval time. You are Brunette maybe of Saracene or Iberian stock?. I do not want to offended our brother Aitor of Basque land, but you know the dispute if the basques are of Iberian origin or not, but their ancient language wich the still speaking today are very intresting. But you can see that the Ilergetes and many others Iberians groups were many in Catalunia, how is posible that all those groups disapare today in Catalonia, and the basques from other distan part out of Catalonia that were only a tribe, still surviving till now? There is a Historical fact of what happen with the local Iberians of Catalunia that were many tribes? and what ancient people belong the blondish Catalunians wich I hear that the Indogermanics ( like: Greeks,Celtic, Visigoths, etc.) once dominated and stay there? and were is Tierra De Campos located?... Thaks.....Joel
