What is the situation at Montefortino?

Some time ago a petition was launched to save the valuable site of the graveside at Montefortino. Has anyone got some update on this? Or was it too late and is the site already destroyed?

the last update I've heard is from a month ago; there were meetings with the mayor and various officials, and no quarry work had been started by that point...
