Arrian probably is the best for this, but are there any other detailed orders of battle from the early imperial period? By detailed, I mean at least specifying how many legions and auxiliary cohorts and alae there were in the field.
I am still quite new to this period as a wargamer and I'd like to model a Roman army in the field as historically accurate (or plausible) as possible. I was hoping to have 1 legion plus a vexillation from another and then three alae of cavalry and six or seven cohorts (some mill. some quin. sized) of auxiliary infantry. Any historical qualms about this?
