.....following aerial reconnaisance from 2011, the local archeologists went on to pursue the traces
of trenches , -- obviously roman ones.
It took so long because research at Olfen and Bielefeld-Sennestadt had priority.

In short: it is a marching camp dating before the regular to about 12/11 BC through which the
trenches of the later regular camp are cutting.
Size about 24 ha.
It matches well into the line of other "drusian" camps at Dorsten-Holsterhausen and Oberaden.
