Museum of Ancient Inventions from Smith College

Here's an interesting list of what the undergrads at Smith College feel are the ancient worlds great inventions. Some of the descriptions are woefully short and some inaccurate, but it's an interesting start. What would you add?<br>

The Romans came to fear the "ship shaker"? Wouldn't they have been intelligent enough to just sail around it? (Oh drat! Sailed right into the hook again! Hold on boys! We're about to be dropped!)<br>

Though I don't know when it was invented, I'd put the number "0" on the list. And the stirrup.<br>
