Did Ancient Greeks ever bless or cast spells on their arms and armour?
#1
Was it ever the practice that weapons or armour would be blessed or enchanted with rituals, so as to offer an advantage in battle?

There was some culture of relics in Greece, where they venerated the bones and weapons of ancient heroes. There was also black/grey magic industry for love potions and the like, so one would think there would be a similar interest in military spells that promise your safe return and strength in battle.

Is anything known about such rituals?
