Hi,
My name is Clive and I'm here to buy some slaves....ok, not really that last part.
I became interested in Roman military history a long time ago (not just Roman, but it is my main interest), weirdly after watching Monty Python's Life of Brian (I'm Brian, and so's my wife) as a youngster and it has grown since then. I like most military history, but prefer the great generals of times past such as Alexander, Hannibal, Caesar and Napolean.
The reason I have to come to this site is because I am in the process of writing a novel set during Caesar's invasion of Gaul and this seemed like the perfect place to come to for help, advice and feedback. Google has proven helpful to a degree but talking to actual people would be of great benefit I believe.
Assuming I'm not hounded out of town, I'll do another post with a brief syonpsis of my book and what help I could do with. If help is forthcoming, I will also post snippets/chapters for your delectation
