Hi,
I thought of bringing a personalized cylinder seal and a cuneiform demo to Plataea next year. Made a couple of styli from bamboo, about five minutes' work, and plan on getting pottery clay for both the tablets and seal. Since I don't have a kiln, I figured on pit-firing the seal and giving it some kind of smooth non-fired coating, maybe wax or acrylic varnish.
Does anyone have experience with this kind of thing? Am I making any mistakes, and is there anything else I should consider?
