Help identifying obscure illustrated textbook on legionnaires (and hoplites)
#1
Hey ppl

Hoping someone in this forum can help identify a textbook - I have some framed pictures from a textbook, (attached).

Best illustrated pics I've ever seen of legionnaires

The pictures were a gift but the friend sold this text many years ago who cannot remember the title, author or publisher from which these pages were reproduced.

Hoping someone recognises the pics (they are A4, full page, lifted from the book).

Would dearly love to purchase thus text.

Been searching google online bookstores, etc with no luck.

Any help much appreciated

regards Xav

That's a very nice book indeed.

You're welcome. Many of us (including myself|) have it on our shelves.

Me too. It was one of the first books that got me interested in ancient warfare.

The artist's name is Jeff Burn, by the way - he barely ever gets a mention!
