Interesting find in Denmark

Archeologists are speculating that the remains of 380 bodies brutally killed in the first century AD may provide evidence of large-sclae battles between the Roman Empire and Germanic tribes in Denmark (although the Roman involvement needs to be substantiated).

I very much doubt that Roman forces were involved. the site is very far from the borders and nothing of the finds indicate Roman involvement.

Indeed they don't! 

"researchers are unsure if Romans fighters were involved", the article says, which is putting it mildly. There doesn't seem to be any connection to Rome here at all.

Interesting the site's so close to Illerup though. That area must have been the venue for inter-Germanic battles for centuries!

Read an article in the Norwegian media, about this, and they state that it has no immediate connection with the Romans.
