Dimensions of Pila Muralia?
#16
If one lookes closely at the second picture Tim posted, you will see an alternative methode for their use, namely with some timber (roundwood, like freshly cut saplings) interconnecting them to form a barrier fence. If securely lashed, the caltrop idee would also work wel and in order to be able to kick a caltrop precisely in the junction, one would have to lower ones shield. Wham, the pilum struck with brutal force!
Hib, there seem to be no mayor lashings on the sudes of your prickly display. Have you envisioned a way to transport them in pairs of three and then twist them to set the lashings tight? That would be a great way of setting up a defence in a hurry!

My apologies for the necroposting but I haven’t seen other discussion on this.

Does anyone know if these are sold online (cheap Indian manufacturing)?
