That looks like the GDFB trooper helm with crest. Or the unpadded, unbranded version. I have one for Dag but I have a good Gallic for reenacting. There's a lot wrong with it, but they're fairly sturdy and come padded. Check out the XXth's two cents on helmets for a quick reference.

The "trooper helmet" gets more criticism than any other Roman helmet ever made. If you have some spare cash then buy every one you can find, toss them in a pile, and crush them with a sledge hammer.

This would be the book I would advise you get as a one stop source book...
The Trooper Helmet? give it to the kids to try on at events.... you never know one
may turn up in an excavation tommorrow...
