Complete Metalsmith
#1
While it was recommended to me just for the pages on rivets, this book is a pleasant surprise for anyone starting metal work as I am. "The Complete Metalsmith" by Tim McCreight has a lot of beginners tips for working all kinds of metals. The contents are:
Materials
Surfaces
Shaping
Joining
Casting
Stones
Mechanisms
Tools, and
references.
A lot of the book makes reference to detailed work for jewelry, but the techniques and hints for metal are all good. And, at about $10, the price is right. Good illustrations.
Legio XX
