There is this new book by George Mousourakis
"The historical and Institutional Context of Roman Law" 2003,
Ashgate publishers England/USA. ISBN 0754621146.
www.ashgate.com

This is a nice historical 500 pages to get into the atmosphere.
It is not however, a guide to reenact a Roman lawcourt.
If you find such a book, buy me a copy !

Vale,

Gaivs Civilis

I found out that my daughter's Latin professor also teaches Roman law. He recommends

"Roman Foundations of Modern Law"
by Herbert Felix Jolowicz, Greenwood Publishing Group 1978

and

"AN INTRODUCTION TO ROMAN LAW"
by Barry Nicholas, Oxford University Press, 1990.
