1st C Leg XIIII clipeus

I'm trying to find info on what size and blazon goes on a Leg XIIII G clipeus, 1st C AD

Length and width (or better yet, nail distance and string loop length :wink: ) for the oval?

Anybody have a picture of the shield blazon? Our Celt group is planning an impression of Roman Auxilia for those times we are on the other side of the shield wall.

Thanks, and that's a good observation. Right now, Dan is pretty busy with the military, and gets a bazillion emails. I did post that on his group, and other places, so I was expanding my search by coming here.

If anybody knows, I'm not particular about the source of the info, so long as it's correct. We have to make a batch of these, so we'd like to get started cutting wood pretty soon, rather than later. We each need one, and we'd like a couple extras for loaners.

Just hoping somebody had a pic they could post, or a dimension (or better, two dimensions :lol:
