Hi all
Another newbie to the forum here. I have a question which has always intrigued me to do with the invasion of Britain and Vespasian's campaign in the South.

The account of Vespasian's campaign specifically mentions the Isle of Wight. Yet there is no, as far as i'm aware, supporting archaeological evidence of any military activity on the island.
Then i saw in the local paper a while ago mention of the discovery of a possible marching camp site near Brading. The article was actually about the recent TimeTeam program from the Island and seemed to just mention it in passing.

Does anyone have any further information on the subject?
