Another marching camp excavating at Friedberg/Hassia(D)

.....that camp had already been spotted in 2012 on the site of a new housing estate built on „Am Steinern Kreuz“ at Friedberg/Hassia.
Clearly a marching camp with a meagre exploit of datable material , size is estimated at about 17ha -- county archeologist-in-charge Dr. Jörg Lindenthal "favours" dating it into the Augustean horizon, he says. Excavations for 2016 have started right now.
