New Belt Erik Koenig
#1
Hello,

I was looking through Erik's website and saw a wonderful belt he recreated.  It is the first one under the belt category.  This belt has a man's face stamped onto the plate that has the buckle attached.  You can also see other photos.

However, he does not provide at least from what I can see the provenance of this belt.  Does anyone know where it came from?

The title he uses is:  Cingulum der Prätorianer Garde Roms

Find is from Rome. Original was gold plated, probably a praetorian guardsman's.

It is very interesting. I didn't know that. Is it in some museum in Rome?
