Show here your Roman soldier impression
It's only an assembly work, with a little reworking of the facial expression of the mask.

A nice conversion of the helmet using the other Deepeeka cheek plates!

Looks great - and individual!

For something a little different to my normal appearance, here is a picture of me at Corbridge last year as a mid third century soldier. The gaesum is speculative but I happened to be holding it when the photo was taken. Mostly I had been demonstrating either with the spear behind me or the quiver of lanciae which I am wearing in the photo but which is hidden by the shield (the heads are visible by my shoulder). As you can see, the helmet belongs to someone else so the padding was not a particularly good fit for me.

Some of the best equipment I have seen anywhere, and an interesting new interpretation on colour.

Excellent work.

Hi,

3 Chiefs? Why? Dona militaria (phalerae, torques) are for every soldier. You must know that!
Do you think really that the dona militaria are just for Centurios? That is not right.
Indian? The atachement for Plums are regular also.

Sorry for my bad english.

We are a small new group (since one year) but the members do it many years in different groups.
At the moment we are 6 soldiers and 4 roman ladys. It is difficult to find good members for an praetorian guard. But we have time.
It is better to be slow in growth.

True, but among a group of soldiers it seems a bit 'overdone' to have every soldier decorated so much. I supposed you had a trooper, an optio, a vexillarius and a centurio - hence the question.

I'll explain the remark about the indians: "too many chiefs, not enough indians" refers to groups where all want to be an officer and too few want to be 'just' soldiers.
