At the last events we have made in Tarraco, i have used a impression of the middle of first century. I'm wearing a deepeeka new hamata, and two belts made with pieces of Mambrilla (armillum.com) and terminals from Nodge Nolan (armamentaria.com)

Great Auxillia! - I think the Gallic A type helmet is a good choice over the often used brass coolus for Auxillia impressions.

John, a lot of knowledge is earned from scientific books about the Roman army and military clothing. If you look in the Indispendable booklist topic, you'll find many good books to start with. If you want to know something about military equipment I would recommend you to get a copy of Bishop and Coulston - Roman military equipment, 2nd editon. (B&C2)

Gatering knowledge is just a matter of time and a lot of reading. I'm sure you'll be such a history buff as a lot of other here on RAT in a couple of months. Remember you're only 13, I think you already know a lot of stuff, for your age, maybe just read some topics and get a feeling for the subject buy (or get them by your local library) some nice books en just read and learn how to do some research about a subject you like!
