This is my Roman Soldier Impression-with a sense of humor. I made this 16" high papier mache' model when I was a junior in high school for an extra credit project for Latin class: you guessed it-on the Roman Army.

My primary source was a book (now out of print) by Flavius Vegetius Renatus called "De Re Militarii" (My Roman surname "Vegetia" was taken after this author).
I realize now that much of the uniform is not historically correct or in proportion, but what the heck-I was only 16-and my sources back then were quite limited. I just HAD to share.
So here is "Minutus", after a book by Mika Waltari called "The Roman".
