Show your subarmalis!
Am I going to revive this topic? Yes Big Grin

A few weeks ago I made my very first subarmalis. This test is made out of cotton with a thick cotton filling. The final piece that I will use for my kit will be made out of linnen with a wool filling and will have shoulderpads.

Picture of the test piece (more will be linked at the bottom):

Cheers, a prefab one from Caius Tarquitus, I believe one of the first ones purchased as my previous ones were designed and made by myself. (I say made by myself which is a lie, as I found a tailor who was keen to do the hard stuff) This one was to be used for a later second cent/early third cent AD impression which suffered from economic woes. I have one more from him without the sleeve elements for under early hamata. too.
