I agree with you on most points. Deepeeka helmets are not that bad, considering the sometimes awful originals. Although I must say that a replica should in general follow the original, I'm not dead against 'combining' styles that were found on different helmets. Even though that must be anathema in the eyes of some people who strive for perfection.<br>
But you're right, too many of us re-enactors frown on 'lobsized' cheek pieces or assymetrical riveting or such like, without realising this was rather the norm than the exception.<br>

After all, we don't walk around in museum quality stuff! We try to give a good impression to the public, and Deepeeka helmets, generally speaking, fulfill that function.<br>

Having said that - Dan, the Deepeeka replica of the Intercisa helmets really, really need that metal ridge over the top! It's not called a 'ridge helmet' for nothing.. Can you try and change that for us? <p>Valete,<br>
