Coolus Feathers

Salvete, RAT! I found a coolus I'm thinking of getting (I'm fond of republican legionary gear), and it has 2 tubes on the sides for feathers, and I'm wondering where I would be able to find the feathers for it. I tried the great and almighty Google, but didn't find anything. Do I just pluck them off a bird or something? Where can I find 2 large feathers for it?

The attached picture is a screencap of the website's pic of the helmet. I'm looking for the side feathers.

Where are you based, Ioannes? There's a reenactor here in the UK who sells dyed long tail feathers for republican helmets.
