Sharpening 1st Century Gladius and Spatha Sword Points

Show here pictures of how you sharpened the points on your Mainz, Fulham, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Spatha Swords.

I have seen a number of different examples and am wondering which are historically correct.
If you have examples of actual archeological discoveries or replicas, Please post your picture and a description of the make/model of the sword.

Many talk about Distal Taper, here would also be a good place to discuss and give examples for every one to learn from.
