The Estepa relief, depicting Roman legionaries (or, more probably, Iberian auxiliaries equiped in the Roman way), from the 1st C BC. The one on the right seems to be wearing a padded garment... or it's just the tunic? The sword is really interesting: it seems to be a gladius hispaniensis, and the relief shows the possible shape of the guard and the pommel (¿trilobate?)
