Absolutely fantastic!! Thanks for posting, mate. I see so many objects so well preserved from Vindolanda (over 6,000 items of footwear!!); I wish this was the case for all Roman/Ancient military excavations. Perhaps there really are many more items of interest in left in existence, and it's the classic lag in publishing time that is to blame?
