A lunula from a standard?
#1
A rather interesting paper ('A first archaeological discovery of a Lunula - a detail of Roman Late Republican signum' - English summary at the end) has what could be part of a Roman military standard. These things are not ten-a-penny, but it was found with other military equipment at Gurzufskoe Sedlo near Yalta, in Crimea).
