Recent Hassian (Germany) archeology feat. on HR-TV
#1
In German ....
....with about 9 minutes on Waldgirmes ( ca. 5:24 to ca. 14:00 min TimeCode).
http://www.ardmediathek.de/tv/Geschichte...Id=3374172
(Brought to my attention by the Hiltibold blog).
The rest is mostly centered around an precautionary excavation around Nidderau on occasion of a planned bypass road.
Interesting and partly entertaining.
Most intersting to us:
Dr. Becker's Statement on the most recent Dating of Waldgirmes (around 12:25 TC):
Waldgirmes did NOT end in 9AD, but a couple of years later, so the military facilities "on site" suggest.
(The internal "compound" marked slightly brown on the Waldgirmes groundplan and the temporary camp to the east of the Settlement)

No reconstruendum => No reconstruction.

Ut desint vires, tamen est laudanda voluntas.
