The Peutinger Table on Google Maps
#1
I was checking the map link to Euratlas today, and noticed that their map of Roman roads from the Peutinger Tablet was no longer available. Well let's just say that considering about half my sources on pinpointing the Battle of Chalons relied on that map based off of the Peutinger Tablet, I was extremely upset.

So I have spent the past hour searching, and came across this: it's a map of the Peutinger tablet overlayed onto Google maps. Although I can't figure out how to link to a direct coordinate or anything, it's still pretty awesome!

If you click on a town, it will show you the location and road sections on the Peutinger tablet.

EDIT: You can pick a route and link to that. For example, here's Attila's path of attack/retreat through Gaul:

The guy who made this, Rene Voorburg, lives just a few blocks away from me. I'm so proud of him!
