Thanks, Hans!
I forgot all about that German book source, you told me about, thanks for reminding me.
I am going to order it myself, I wouldn't want your book to be damaged during the construction of my pugio.

Do you know a book about the cingulum which holds many good photographs and reconstructional drawings?

Greetings and a happy new year!
Just a word of warning if you are using Obmann as a guide when making your pugio. Obmann concentrates on sheaths and, to a lesser extent, handles. He does not actually illustrate any blades and the quality of the line drawings of sheaths is variable. That said, I would recommend adding his book to your library and referring to it often.
For information on belts I would look at Francis Grew and Nick Griffiths' article: 'The Pre-Flavian Military Belt: the Evidence from Britain', Archaeologia 109 (1991), 47-84
As stated above, the article appears in the journal 'Archaeologia' number 109 (1991). It is by Francis Grew and Nick Griffiths and is entitled: 'The Pre-Flavian Military Belt: the Evidence from Britain'.

If you have difficulty finding it I may be able to send you a copy by post.
Another problem with the Obmann book is that it have'nt a colour code at the figures, and it's imposible to know what kind of material are made the decorations.

I don't know whether this is a fair price, but the prospective customers will know:
