Needlefelt swords/spears

Well, everybody talks about it, praises it, and says we need it, but where the heck do we get materials and instructions, or finished needlefelt swords and such?<br>

It's gettin' a little testy on the topic of contact combat down here in Texas....<br>

Please check the Roman Army group site on Yahoo. There is a lot more details about the needlefelt combat there. A whole new ancient reenactment society may be base around fighting with these weapons, as they allow for hard fighting, yet without the neccessity of excess, and unauthentic padding and protection, which is the downfall of anything authentic appearing type combat in the SCA, particularly with ancient soldiers who usually had bare arms and legs in combat.<br>
