No one of the examples you provide in quilted armour match the greek cuirass.
Quilted are used in cultures or ranks that can not afford better ones. Americans Indians were neolthic cultures. Other quilted armour, gambeson, etc. show a very diferent construction, and all of them flexibility. Also sleeves. No one Is in use by elite front rank warriors. Linothorax was very diferent.
Repairing a quilted armour Is complicate and time consuming. Layer must be unquilted an replaced. Loosing protection efectiveness during a long campaing Is not a Good idea, even If you claim that ripping cuirass Is cool. Also provides less protection and and have more maintenace problems than a venerable bronze cuirass. To have such a succesful carreer has to provide some other advantages. Not the same ones of Homer time.
