Citizenship
#1
Ave, Civitas,

I was wondering, could a Roman citizen be stripped of his citizenship, have it forfeit, or revoked?

As always, thank you for your help.

Yes, citizenship can be revoked. There are examples in Livy of this happening, especially concerning whole tribes. One could be also demoted to a class lower than the capite censi. I am having the house renovated, (completely gutted) and all my references are in storage, otherwise I would provide the references. Hopefully others will.
