Does anyone know about this dagger type?

Live Auctioneers has records of four examples of what they describe as an akinakes, "probably Achaemenid."

I've never seen anything like these in art or museum catalogues, but then, I'm not a great scholar. Does anyone happen to be familiar with it?

Hi Dan
I don't want to rude but I got my balls chewed off for posting links to an auction site.....totally innocently with ref to an item, similar to your post.
Be warned.

We do have to be careful of the provenance of items on sales websites. The query is about the shape of the item, but let me check with the other Moderators...locked until such time as we have a decision.

EDIT Dan has a message from me for a way of taking this forward
