Ave Civitas,
I am doing some research on general Flavius Promotus.
I know he held a command in Africa before the emperor Theodosius transferred him to Thracia.
I know that Theodosius's father has served as commander of an expedition against Firmus in Africa. When I learned that I wondered, could Theodosius (elder or younger) have known Promotus other through this assignment? (that is, could they have been there at the same time?)
I am also interested in knowing how old he was at his death in AD 391.
Is there an online source where I could access this information?
As always, thanks for your help.
Tom
