Hadrian\'s Wall Management Plan
#1
The Centre for Applied Archaeology (University College London) has been commissioned to coordinate consultation in preparation for the drafting of the 2015-2019 Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site Management Plan.

There will be 10 public workshops held at a total of 5 venues along the WHS from Maryport to North Tyneside, and an online consultation. These workshops are open to all; you don't need any specialist knowledge, just a passion for Hadrian's Wall. Come along and bring your ideas, questions and challenges, and proposals for positive, useful and realistic ways for this great World Heritage Site to work with its landscape and its communities.

To complete the online consultation visit this online survey.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Merlot in one hand, Cigar in the other; body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride!

How about suggesting a Trust be set up to co-ordinate the running of the wall, operating a bus service and maintaining the Hadrian's Wall trail!

Cf Ornithopter. Much huffing and puffing was witnessed, it almost got off the ground, but then sadly shook itself to pieces.

What ever happened to the Hadrian's Wall management commission that was formed back in the 90s at enormous expence, I put forward the guard of honour for HRH the late Princess Margaret when she declared it a World Heritage Site.

There were all kinds of wonderfull things going to be done back then so I was told but they could not even put up the Plaque she unvieled in a proper manner but tried to do it on the cheap. Then when I made a complaint about that I simply got the run around the houses where no authority would take up the question I put forward and it resulted in said plaque being stolen, in fact it may well have been melted down for scap who knows !!
