Just thought I'd share this with you. I was on a visit to the workshop ruins in Barcelona, Spain (Museu d'Historia de la Ciutat, 1st - 6th AD) and came across this. It was a piece of stone with a Solomon's knot pattern etched in. With the smaller lines being put in to I would say it's definitely done to represent a mosaic. Someone wanting to work out the size of the mosaic? A bored slave?
