As a smoker i have been wondering if the Romans ever used tobacco? I mainly ask this as way to see if there is an authentic roman way to do so im pretty sure the romans werent packing a pack Marlboros and asking around to see if any one had a light?

Tobacco is a new world plant. It wasn't in use in Europe until the so called "Age of Exploration" (or about 1500 onwards.)

Dear "Smokey",

Welcome to the forum. Perhaps Evan should also have pointed out the forum rule of adding at least your real name to the signature. First name is OK, full name more OK :-) . Enjoy your stay and use the search engine also, as it will turn up many a past gem for all the things you are wanting to learn about.
