Source for Lorica Squamata scales?
#1
I was wondering if anyone knew a source to buy scales for a Lorica squamata. After the discussion on lamellar, I started looking and figured I could start working toward the lorica squamata I've always wanted, but I have no interest in trying to cut out the scales. Does anyone know of a good source for buying them?
Thanks for any and all help.
Cavetus, this might be a bit of a far reach, but do you think Master Geoffrey might be able to help us?
Lucius Aurelius Metellus, miles gregarius, Secunda Brittanica

I've talked to Geoffery in some detail about his lamellar plates, as well as some other armourers. They have to put out a fairly large about of money to purchase the die that they use to cut that same shape, so it's not that easy for them to offer another shape unfortunately. Unless we could gaurentee he would get his investment back quickly, then I really do doubt he could help.
I did find this: EzCode Parsing Error:=ask-vikingekampgruppe.dk/english26.html[ last night. The scales don't look to bad, though I've not seen any with the central ridge from the archeological record. The price isn't that bad, but they are in europe so that's a bit of an issue. For 1000 scales, its about $169 US. Not TOO bad, all things considered, but that doesn't figure in shipping from to the US, or customs, or anything like that.
Looking for suppliers for late roman stuff has shown me part of the reason so many people to earlier Roman stuff
