Title's wrong (due to an accident with a contraceptive in a time machine, as Zaphod Beeblebrox might say). It is actually

A Secret History of the Roman Roads of Britain

It's a long story, but trust me, that's the correct title. Amazon haven't corrected it back to what it should be.

You sure it wasn't Slarty Bardfast? Sounds more like his style to me. Probably made the mistake whilst doing the 'crinkly bits' around Norway!

I thought that it was a race of intelligent mice that designed the coastline of Norway and got a prize for it.

I love roads!

Just what I need to accompany a quiet evening with a glass of Intergalactic Gargle Blaster Wink
Moi Watson

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Merlot in one hand, Cigar in the other; body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride!
