This is the kind of helmet that makes me consider coming out of retirement to do a reconstruction of this reconstruction.

Haven't tried that one in a while, but it was sketchy then. Hopefully the new scanners are more accurate and greater resolution. Might compete with Leica. Maybe.

Which is to say that while photos are good, high resolution 3D scans that you can print would be better.

Good to see it back on public display again. Here are some pics I took when it was up for auction and withput a glass case. Sadly I only had my trusty iPhone rather than a better camera. But it did mean that I could take pics under the helmet.
