Is there any publication that describes how the various gladiator helmets were constructed? They all seem to be made of multiple parts raised, embossed and riveted.

The book "The World of the Gladiator" by Susanna Shadrake has some schematics in it. Otherwise you have to go by the photos and descriptions of the Pompeii helmets which you could find in the Junkelmann book (available unfortunately only in German).
