#1
avete omnes

in the pictures the reproduction of the ljubljanica gladius that in my opinion is one of the most difficult to made especialli if you have to made all the parts only by hand like i did.Not casted parts...only rasp...This gladius I did in brass silvered and full silver.

PierPaolo.
That is a very nice piece of work and I can understand what you mean for I have indeed made this sword myself in the past, what is of great interest is the block piece on the rear of the scabbard and I don't know if anyone has worked out yet how it might have been used.

Just wow!
Moi Watson

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Merlot in one hand, Cigar in the other; body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride!

Good Lord! Brilliant piece of work. I love the great attention to detail in that scabbard, which is a very unusual one.

Well done indeed!! :woot:

Brian and Robert are artisan like me so they can hundestand very well what heavy work is do all this metal parts only by hand.I hundestand now why the typycal augustean fascion for made scabbards was lost so fast and scabbars started to be different.....to much work for do this intricate scabbards...better change for embossing decoration or opus interrasile...
