I finally visited Erve Eme, the Merovingian farm in Zutphen, The Netherlands. They're doing a great job there, and the weather allowed for some nice images.

Next time you are there, let's see if we can fire the traction catapult we built last year! Currently working on some "safe" projectiles, being leather balls stuffed with sawdust. There will be an article on the experimental Merovingian pottery kiln we built for the EXARC conference in May.
