The 300 Spartans

I see the 1961 movie, "The 300 Spartans" is now out on DVD. To my knowledge, this is its first release anywhere on any format. By our standards, its realism is probably open to question. However, the Greek armies march to the step of flutes and pipes. No drums or horns. <p></p><i></i>

I'm sorry. There are some films I just love. Yes there are inaccuracies, but that doesn't change with the times. 300 Spartans is (along with Fall of the Roman Empire) one of my favourite epics.<br>
